Since the lakes have never been used for the initial purpose, they have been stocked with fish during a certain period of time and given to the Union of sport fishermen ‘Nisava’ in Dimitrovgrad. The lakes appeared to be ideal for fish growing and sport fishing, and that is the reason why for years they have been the favourite destination of numerous sport fishermen from Dimitrovgrad, Pirot, Nis , and other towns. The lakes are rich in carp, stuka, catfish, robin, bodorka, American catfish, and other fishes. The annual capacity is production and fishing of 30 – 50 tonnes of fish. There is a service for fishing control, and only the fishermen who possess the annual or daily license are allowed to fish in those lakes.
